Made in Japan, this simple notebook was designed to be smooth and strong for pencil and paint alike. The high-quality MD (Midori Diary) paper inside was developed in 1960 and has been continuously improved on ever since, with this cotton version having been blended with 20% soft-textured cotton pulp for added comfort when drawing. The paper is bleed-resistant and won't form fuzz under friction.
The notebook has a sturdy thread binding that lies completely flat when open, making it easy to write across and great for lefties. To feature the charm of the paper itself, the cloth tape used to bind the spine is exposed, giving the notebook a unique look. The notebook cover is made of thick card stock and wrapped in a paraffin paper which can either be removed during use and placed on when you're done with the notebook for a pristine look or kept on to develop its own patina.
Measures approximately 7 1/2" wide x 9 7/16" tall, 200 pages. Comes in a plastic sleeve with sticker labels that can be used to label the notebook. Made in Japan.
