For the 50th installment of Field Notes' Quarterly Limited Edition series, they've gone basic with a twist. In a nod to previous editions, there is a different colored flyleaf on each notebook (Safety Orange from “Dime Novel,” Nightshift Blue from “End Papers,” and Gumdrop Green from “Grass Stain Green”) that is printed with "50" and peeks through a die-cut circle while the silver metallic ink on the cover first appeared on their 5th release in 2009, “Just Below Zero.” This cover is the first use of French Paper's Pop-Tone “Red Hot” stock.
Notebooks measure 3.5" wide x 5.5" tall, 48 pages each of 3/16" grid paper. Cover is French Pop-Tone 100# cover stock with a thick 1-color application of “Walking Liberty Silver” soy-based Toyo UV ink. Flyleaves are French 70# text stock. Interior is Finch Paper Opaque Smooth 60# text “Bright White,” with a fine, 1-color application of “New Friends Silver” soy-based Toyo ink. Saddle stitched, rounded corners, printed in Illinois. Set of 3 comes shrinkwrapped with a printed and blind embossed band. Made in the USA.
