This sturdy single-hole pencil sharpener is made by Dux, the oldest German brand for quality pencil sharpeners (established in 1908). The barrel is made from blocks of Duroplast (Bakelite), the material used to produce the body of the Trabant peoples car and other household items like radios. The barrel shape and alternating textured sides make it easy to grip and the screw-off top and rounded bottom make it easy to clean.
