This Blackwing Volumes is a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women's suffrage. It features a purple matte barrel with yellow imprint stars on two sides and a white imprint for the Blackwing name, silver ferrule with a white stripe, and a purple eraser. The graphite is firm.
The unsharpened pencil measures 5/16" wide (barrel)/3/8" wide (eraser) x 7 15/16" tall. Pencils are made in Japan with California incense cedar and Japanese graphite. Erasers are made in Vietnam. Comes 12 pencils in a sturdy black box that can double as a pencil holder. Cardstock sleeve fits over the box with info about the pencil theme. Replacement purple erasers available.
Palomino donates 2% of all Blackwing sales to the Blackwing Foundation at the end of each calendar year. The Blackwing Foundation was founded in 2012 to further music and arts education at the K-12 level.
