This Blackwing Volumes is a tribute to independent businesses and the neon blue and red "open" sign (6 is a nod to the six Noble Gases which give neon lights their colors). It features six orange-red and six electric blue pencils with a matte finish, black imprint, black ferrule, red or blue eraser, and the graphite is soft. This release supports the Small Business Relief Fund.
The unsharpened pencil measures 5/16" wide (barrel)/3/8" wide (eraser) x 7 15/16" tall. Pencils are made in Japan with California incense cedar and Japanese graphite. Erasers are made in Vietnam. Comes 12 pencils in a sturdy black box that can double as a pencil holder. Cardstock sleeve fits over the box with info about the pencil theme. Matching replacement erasers available.
Palomino donates 2% of all Blackwing sales to the Blackwing Foundation at the end of each calendar year. The Blackwing Foundation was founded in 2012 to further music and arts education at the K-12 level.
