      Jeremy Tinder at GRSF

      Jeremy Tinder (A Journal, Green Girl Card) has 6 watercolors as part of a new show at GRSF called "Game Over 4" showcasing art inspired by videogames. His paintings include: Wind Waker, Donkey Kong and DK Jr, Mario and a Mario flagpole triptych. The show goes until March 30th so stop by if you're in SF. According to GRSF, "The impact and inspiration of videogames will be represented through a wide assortment of styles and genres provided by top artists in the fields of illustration, painting, sewing, indie comics, and videogames."

      George playing at Berkeley Art Museum

      If you're going to be in the East Bay on March 4th, go see George play music as part of Vholtz at the Berkeley Art Museum for their L@TE: Friday Nights at BAM/PFA. The Show is called Fires of Unknown Origin that according to the BAM website is a showcase of three artists whose "...energies reflect the youthful rebellion and desire of the early 1970s New York art scene (think Patti Smith, Robert Mapplethorpe, Chelsea Hotel)."

      Our good friend and former director of the SF International Asian American Film Festival Chi-hui Yang helped put together a film festival at MoMA called, "Documentary Fortnight 2011: MoMA’s International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media". According to MoMA, "This international selection of films presents a wide range of creative categories that extend the idea of the documentary form, examines the relationship between contemporary art and nonfiction practices, and reflects on new areas of nonfiction practice." It's happening this week in New York so check it out.       Evah Fan in Giant Robot Show


      Father's Forgotten Figs by Evah Fan

      LO artist and current Stockholm resident Evah Fan is part of a Lunar New Year show at Giant Robot (GR2 in LA) called Year of the Rabbit which runs from February 5th-March 2, 2011. If you're in LA definitely check it out (it has tons of great artists in it including another LO artist Kaori Kasai).
