a preview of the cover to our next Living Things! We’re happy to announce that for the month of August we will have a special pop-up shop in the renowned downtown Portland small press emporium Reading Frenzy (which turns 17 this year!). We’ll be celebrating the release of volume 5 of our Living Things Series by APAK along with a show of their original art from the book. We'll also be highlighting our first mini art book from a couple years back, Water & Fall by Martine Workman, with new art based on the book created just for this show. Both APAK (Portland) and Martine (Seattle) will be in attendance for the opening this Thursday, so stop by and say...
The great Family Bookstore in Los Angeles is having a book launch for Anders Nilsen's new book Big Questions as well as author readings by Anders, Ron Rege, Jr. and Souther Salazar where they will be giving slideshow presentations on their work and process. Should be a great event! Wish we were in LA for this one! For those in SF, Needles & Pens is also doing a signing with Anders on Tuesday, July 26 and will be showing some original art from Big Questions. Also not to be missed!
Our pop-up shop at Rare Device in San Francisco ends tomorrow, so make sure you get a chance to check out our entire line of goods including: planners, calendars, bookmarks, journals, postcards, books, prints and cards. You can also see original art from the Living Things Series books by Lizzy Stewart, Hannah Waldron and Jo Dery! Rare Device open 11am-7pm 1845 Market St (at Guerrero) San Francisco, CA
Living Things (and soon to be LO Annual Vol. 6) artist Lizzy Stewart is giving a talk at this weekend's Loop Arts Fair in Leeds. Also she and Jez Burrows will have their own space that will function as a studio while they are there. It definitely sounds like it's a great event. Makes us wish we were in the UK!
