As frequent movie watchers, we often find ourselves thinking, “Oh, I’ve seen that! Um, can’t really remember what happened or what I thought about it though.” While a quick trip to IMDb can give you a list of cast and plot summary (along with other people’s opinions), we wanted a dedicated book in which we could keep track of what we had seen, where, when, and with whom we had seen it, and what we thought about it. A movie journal for a thoughtful yet non-professional critic / non-film student / non-internet-based response with enough room to record some critical impressions, but small enough to be easily portable with a graphic style and structure that reflects a genuine interest in movies. Not finding what we wanted elsewhere, what could we do but make one ourselves!
The Little Otsu Film Diary is a handy book for fellow film lovers with room for 80 reviews, lists for movies to check out, theater stats, random top fives, top rated films, and an alphabetical index to fill in as you go so you can easily find the movies in the journal. Whether you’re out at a film festival or on the couch with a DVD, keep track of what you’re watching and what you want to remember about it in our new book!
