Dang, I know it's short notice, but I'm part of a comics reading happening tonight at Pegasus Books in Berkeley. Everyone should come because it will be fun times a million. Here are the details:

Comics Out Loud

Friday, May 18th, 7:00 pm
A multi-media showcase of young indie comics artists. Participating cartoonists include Julia Wertz (Fart Party), Shannon O'Leary (Pet Noir), Justin Hall (Hard to Swallow, True Travel Tales), Geoff Vasile (Track Rabbit), MariNaomi (Estrus Comics), Scott Campbell (Hickee), Joe Sayers (Thingpart, I'm Gonna Rip Your Face Off), and Jason Shiga (Bookhunter). Here is a page of the planner I'm drawing now. I think this page, as with other pages are inspired a lot from when I designed the Chris Duncan's monthly planner. I decided to do this project entirely with colored pencil. I wanted it to be softer you know? I think I was going a bit crazy with microns...

Jason Munn is featured in the CCA 100 Design show currently at the SF MoMA. Check it out when you can! His Matt Pond PA poster is at the top of a cool display case featuring alumni and faculty.

We are also getting ready to turn our new project with Jason in to the printer. The Grid Notebook that Jason designed with us will come in several sizes and amaze all whose eyes are lucky enough to glance upon it....or something like that.
